Fermentation Workshop

You will gain the confidence need and learn more about:
  • Understanding the health benefits behind consuming fermented items
  • Learn about different types of fermented foods, beverages, dairy, and adult beverages
  • Recognize different cultures and starters, including SCOBY, sourdough starter, the mother, and more
  • Familiarize yourself with the equipment and supplies to have on hand
  • Learn how to properly handle and store  your live bacteria, fermented foods, and drinks
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues during the fermentation process
  • Make an easy seasonal fermented kraut recipe
  • Sample some of our krauts, kombucha, and homemade sourdough bread
