Welcome to the world of community supported agriculture (CSA), where our farm’s provisions provide your family with organic, fresh food options. Unlike many CSA organizations, we are dedicated to providing not only organic produce but also farm provisions. At Acorn Creek Farmstead, we would like to offer you a comprehensive farm-to-table experience.

Our purpose
Acorn Creek Farmstead utilizes regenerative farming methods with organic practices. We believe good health stems from consuming nutrient-dense foods from the garden, the pastures, and our forested areas. The outcome of achieving this is quite simple:
- nonGMO Heirloom seeds from a small family-owned business located in Missouri
- Naturally combating garden pests through companion planting, nematodes, and nothing short of healthy soil.
- We are committed to growing produce that thrives in our growing zone.
- Compost comes naturally through the bedding of our livestock, grass clippings, dried leaves, and discarded plant matter from the garden.
- Fertilizer is collected from the livestock found on the farm—manure from the hen house, donkeys, and rabbits, as well as water from the pool our ducks swim in.
Much like our garden, our livestock graze naturally on untreated pastures or in the forested area of the farm. Our hogs consume nonGMO whole grain feed and what nature provides. Glyphosate and other chemicals do not have a place on the farm, so the native grasses they consume are the primary source of their diet.
Some say we are doing things the hard way. We feel we are doing things God’s way – traditionally and naturally.
CSA Box | What to expect
We aim to offer our CSA subscribers a farm-to-table, clean living experience. To achieve this, we had to think outside the box.
Direct from our farm to your home, our twice a month CSA boxes will contain:
- 10 pounds of seasonal produce
- 1 pound of either ground forested pork or grass-fed beef, breakfast sausage, seasonally flavored brats, or kielbassa: farmer’s choice, offered twice a month
- 32 ounces of either chicken or beef stock OR 1 pound of lard or tallow from our forested hogs and pastured Dexter cows: farmer’s choice, offered once a month
- 1 bar of farm-made natural soap with a clean ingredient list of fats and milk from our livestock, 100% natural and beneficial colorants, Redmond white bentonite clay from Utah, and pure therapeutic-grade essential oils: farmer’s choice on scents, offered once a month
- A recipe card consisting of our family’s favorite seasonal dish: offered twice a month
The weight per box of produce you will receive will vary based on the growing season. For example, cool-weather crops weigh less than those grown in summer and fall. By the end of the seasonal CSA, you will have received 115 pounds of produce.
