Farm to Table Community Supported Agriculture

Welcome to the world of community-supported agriculture (CSA), where our farm’s provisions provide your family with organic, locally grown, and raised fresh food options. Unlike other CSA subscriptions, we are dedicated to providing not only produce grown with organic practices but also meat from our small, regenerative farm. At Acorn Creek Farmstead, we would like to offer you a comprehensive farm-to-table experience.

Our purpose

Acorn Creek Farmstead utilizes regenerative farming methods with organic practices. We believe good health stems from consuming nutrient-dense foods from the garden, pastures, and our forested areas. The outcome of achieving this is quite simple:

  • nonGMO Heirloom seeds from a small family-owned business located in Missouri
  • Naturally combating garden pests through companion planting, nematodes, and nothing short of healthy soil
  • Feeding the soil with aged compost made here on the farm, and a natural fertilizer such as comfrey tea
  • We are committed to growing produce that thrives in our growing zone
  • Fertilizer is collected from the livestock found on the farm—manure from the hen house, donkeys, and rabbits, as well as water from the pool our ducks swim in

Much like our garden, our beef cows graze on untreated pastures and are moved regularly through regenerative rotation. The hogs work the forested area of our land, consuming hickory and black walnuts, acorns, wild persimmons, and a nonGMO whole grain feed soaked in the milk our Jersey cows provide. Our chemical-free farm is free of pesticides, herbicides, and sludge fertilizer. We are stewards of the land we work and the livestock we raise, focusing on traditional and natural farming practices.

Some say we are doing things the hard way; we feel we are doing things God’s way.

CSA Box | What to expect

We aim to offer our CSA subscribers a farm-to-table, clean living experience, and in order to achieve this, we had to think outside the box. Direct from our farm to your home, our CSA boxes will contain:

  • The 2026 Farmstead CSA Subscription will run from May through September
  • Seasonal produce grown utilizing organic practices
  • Ground forested pork or grass-fed beef, breakfast or Italian sausage, seasonally flavored brats: farmer’s choice
  • A 32-ounce container of either chicken or beef stock, or 1-pound of lard or tallow from our forested hogs and pastured Dexter cows: farmer’s choice
  • Farm-made natural soap with a clean ingredient list consisting of natural fats and milk from our livestock, 100% natural and beneficial colorants, Redmond white bentonite clay from Utah, and pure therapeutic-grade essential oils: farmer’s choice on scents

Please note that the weight of the produce you will receive per box will vary during the growing season. For example, cool-weather crops weigh less than those grown in summer and fall. By the end of the season, and based on the CSA subscription you select, you will have received the appropriate allocated amount of produce.

The 2026 Community Supported Agriculture season will be held from May through September
